Frequently Asked
Questions

What are your COVID precautions?

We are planning our workshop with the utmost precautions. All workshops will take place with health-safety protocols according to official guidelines in India. We will make masks mandatory and hold a majority of our workshops outdoors. On top of this:

- we will limit the number of attendees according to local guidelines and below 75 people per event.
- masks will be mandatory
- social distancing will be enforced

If we believe a city has an outbreak or a high number of COVID cases, we will postpone or cancel the specific event.

What is the NAAIS India Tour?

NAAIS is proposing a workshop series in key Indian cities that focuses on building confidence, creating awareness, and networking among Indian undergraduate and graduate students slated to come to the States. While sticking to the health protocols advised by the Indian Government, these workshops will give direct access and interaction to students and their parents. We expect to cover 30 cities with over 100 events to reach more than 10,000 students in person. The workshop content has been created by experts and focuses on four different areas: health, immigration, transitioning resources, and community building.

What will attending the workshop cost?

The cost is always free for our workshops

Who will host the event?

Sudhanshu Kaushik, the founder and executive director of NAAIS, will be facilitating all the workshops.

When is the India tour happening?

Taking into account admission cycles and exams, we host workshops throughout the year aligning with the Spring, Fall, and Summer intake.

Whom is this event for?

This event is exclusively for those students who have been admitted to universities in the United States. This includes undergraduate, graduate, and other short-term, continuing, or executive programs.

What will the structure of the events be?

Part-workshop, part-networking. It’s a 45-minute workshop followed by a networking session.

I’ve been admitted to a university in Canada, may I still attend?

Yes! If you’d like to socialize with fellow Indian students moving to North America, you are very welcome to attend the event.

Will this be available online?

We’ll upload the presentation and a video of our workshop once the tour is complete.

What happens after the event?

You’re invited to relevant LinkedIn, Facebook and WhatsApp chat groups to ensure that you have access to resources and have things answered by areas.

Are tickets transferable?

Yes. Please email us if you’ll be transferring the ticket to another person. Tickets are non-refundable, single-use, but can be transferred to another session on a different date if you are unable to attend one.

Can I still purchase tickets on the same day of the event?

Yes! Availability of tickets over-the-counter may be subject to venue space. Credit or debit cards not accepted at the venue, you may pay via cash or digital wallet.

What if the event is canceled?

We will refund your entire ticket amount.
